This course provides first responders, law enforcement, and support personnel with critical safety principles for operating around Law Enforcement K-9 and Military Working Dogs in hazardous, narcotics, fire, and disaster environments. Participants will learn: • Basic working dog behavior recognition • Common injury mechanisms to responders and dogs • Fentanyl and narcotics exposure risk • PPE interference with canine perception • When decontamination is required This course serves as the official safety orientation for all NADOM tactical canine programs.
