This course introduces responders to the critical safety risks associated with horses and large animals during flood, wildfire, agricultural, and hazardous materials incidents. Participants will learn: • Basic equine behavior and flight response • Kick, strike, and crush zone recognition • Responder injury trends in equine operations • Flood and wildfire hazards involving livestock • When specialized handling and decontamination are required This course establishes the safety foundation for all NADOM equine and livestock programs.
